What is this site, actually?¶
This site consists of practical guides, tips and best practices for using the GNU/Linux OS on a day-to-day basis.
Who is this for?¶
The content can be useful for different kinds of people:
- If you are a curious and inquisitive person.
- If you like to learn interesting new ways of using your computer.
- If you value freedom of choice and your privacy.
- If you want to breathe new life into (or extend the life of) an old computer that still has a few more miles of use in it.
- If you've heard about the FLOSS Community and you want to know what it's all about.
Why does this site exist?¶
This site is my way of giving back to the GNU/Linux community by advocating for and promoting awareness and adoption of Free Software. The Practical Linux Guides site is a big part of it. You can find the story of my own journey with the FLOSS Community here.
